How to bet the Comely Stakes

Fully Subscribed wins the 2025 Mother Goose (Coglianese Photography)
Eight three-year-old fillies will go 1 1/8 miles on the Aqueduct dirt in Sunday’s $200,000 Comely S. (G3). #6 Fully Subscribed was last seen dominating her foes in the Mother Goose S. (G2) on the course and is hard to go against in the tilt. Trained by Chad Brown, the chestnut filly has improved her Brisnet Speed rating in each lifetime try to date, and the daughter of Tiz the Law has also gotten better as the distances have increased, as well.
Comely Wagers
- $3 trifecta key 6 with 2,5,7 ($18)
- 50-cent superfecta 6 with 2,5,7 with 2,5,7 with all ($15)
- 50-cent superfecta 6 with 2,5,7 with all with 2,5,7 ($15)
Fully Subscribed has earned triple-digit Brisnet Late Pace ratings in her two assignments going two turns and has posted a pair of maintenance morning moves in advance of her return. Top pilot Flavien Prat will take the reins and rally this talented Kentucky-bred from off the pace in the affair.
#7 Yes It Tiz, also by Tiz the Law, is two-for-two since moving to the dirt and has a lot of exotics appeal to me while making her black-type debut for trainer Brad Cox. The $110,000 yearling purchase has been first or second in each of her five lifetime appearances, and the improving sort will be in the mix late once again with Manny Franco in the stirrups.
I’m not sure if #5 Kappa Kappa wants to run nine furlongs at this stage of her development, but the recent Raven Run S. (G2) upsetter has a lot of talent and could be the one if she can navigate the trip under John Velazquez. The chestnut daughter of Omaha Beach is three-for-four in her lifetime and has room to improve, as well. She will be the one to catch in the early going.
Empire Distaff S. queen #2 Valtellina has registered two very good results in a pair of runs at 1 1/8 miles as of late and fits well in this one for Raymond Handal. The New York-bred daughter of Complexity will do her best running in the lane with Joel Rosario in the silks.
