How to bet the Correction Stakes

A total of seven fillies and mares will go postward in the competitive $100,000 Correction S. at Aqueduct on Saturday.
Correction Analysis
The early pace will be solid for the level, with #2 Sadie Lady and #6 Awesome Debate both being confirmed front runners who will lock horns from the break. Each comes off a lifetime-best performance, but I will look to the outside with #7 Prairie Fire, who figures to sit a perfect trip to the top of the stretch before going clear late.
Correction Contenders
#1 KANSAS KIS -- Top-three contender cuts back in distance after two tries going one-mile for Handal. Capable Constitution filly has never missed the board from eight local assignments to date, and some of her best outings have come at the six-furlong trip, as well. Dylan Davis has the call.
#2 SADIE LADY -- Freud mare aired in a local allowance test when registering a robust 103 Brisnet Speed figure. Atras trainee is not overly consistent, but she is four-for-seven on the course, and the five-year-old is also the inside speed of the field. Manny Franco will send the lass from the break.
#3 AMUSE -- California invader has faced some strong opposition in the Golden State and looms a winning chance in her first appearance at Aqueduct. Medaglia d’Oro six-year-old makes her third run off the shelf and wouldn’t be a surprise in a well-matched field. Kendrick Carmouche picks up the mount.
#4 CALL ON MISCHIEF -- Into Mischief four-year-old has not been in great form as of late and needs a big forward move to challenge for the win on Saturday. Breen pupil was a sharp second in an allowance tilt two back, and she will need something similar to make the frame in this spot.
#5 JUMP FOR JOY -- Jump Start eight-year-old has finished in the top-three in eight straight outings and comes in off of a nice tally over a muddy surface locally. Bay has arguably never been better, and she rates as an exotics contender despite the class hike.
#6 AWESOME DEBATE -- Fleet contender brings sharp current form to the race as an obvious contender for Baker. Gray five-year-old sports a nifty 5-3-1-1 local line, and she will be forcing the tempo from the opening bell in the Correction. Vargas will be in the stirrups atop the win threat.
#7 PRAIRIE FIRE -- Top pick comes in fresh on the cut back and should receive a fine trip from the outside post slot. The five-year-old daughter of Posse had been first or second in five straight prior to a fourth-place finish in the La Verdad S. last time out. Tactical mare shows three solid morning drills in the interim, and she will get the job done under Cancel.
