How to bet the Floral Park Stakes

September 12th, 2025

A total of nine fillies and mares entered for the turf will dash six panels on the outer lawn at Aqueduct in Saturday’s $150,000 Floral Park S. Conditioner Miguel Clement has a trio of contenders for the affair, and I expect his trainees to be major players in the contest.

Floral Park Wagers

  • $5 exacta 2,3 with 2,3,5 ($20)
  • 50-cent trifecta 2,3 with 2,3,5 with all ($14)
  • $1 trifecta box 2,3,5 ($6)

The pace of the Floral Park figures to be a swift one with the stakes-winning sophomore #1 Luna Louska being sent from the rail while being pressed throughout by Chad Brown’s #4 Risk Threshold and Jimmy Ryerson’s #6 Quiet Confidence. I feel that enduring swift early splits will compromise each of the trio.

#2 Love Appeals (7-2) and #3 Dontlookbackatall (5-2), both from the Clement shedrow, figure to receive advantageous voyages while saving ground throughout the event. The former missed by a head in the contest in 2024 and enters off a stakes tally at Monmouth Park last time out. The Speightstown mare dons a 5-2-1-1 mark on the course, and the Moyglare homebred will be rolling on in the lane beneath Santana.

Grade 3 heroine Dontlookbackatall was very good in the first half of 2024 prior to going off form, but the $695,000 earner was equipped with blinkers two back and seems to be getting back to her best self. The Keystone State-bred was a fine second to an excellent one at Saratoga in advance of this, and she could vault forward in her third run off the pine. Manny Franco will have the dark bay stalking the action from the break.

The Saffie Joseph-trained #5 Mrs. Gambolini (5-1) has been first or second in all but one of her seven career assignments and is too consistent to leave out of the vertical exotics. More Than Ready filly was last seen rallying to be a clear runner-up in the Andy Guest S. at Colonial Downs, and while she faces a deeper field on this day, the Kentucky-bred remains a factor due to her talent. She will never be far back with Micah Husbands taking the reins, who is two-for-two when piloting the bay.
