How to bet the Mrs. Revere Stakes

A field of seven sophomore fillies will travel 1 1/16 miles on the Churchill Downs lawn in Saturday’s $200,000 Mrs. Revere (G2).

#2 Positive Danger will lead from the break, and she will be tracked by #1 Hendy Woods in second. The early tempo should be solid.

Mrs. Revere Contenders

#1 HENDY WOODS -- Casse-trained stakes vixen exits a sixth-place run in the Queen Elizabeth II (G1) at Keeneland most recently. Uncle Mo filly was an excellent runner-up in the Edgewood (G2) on the course two back, and her tactical speed will give her first run on the closing types on Saturday. Tyler Gaffalione rides.

#2 POSITIVE DANGER -- The one to catch makes her local bow coming off an allowance tally over softer at Indiana Grand. Daughter of Uncle Mo has aced her pair of turf route affairs to date, but she faces a tall task in her toughest assignment to date. Brain Hernandez will guide the speedy bay.

#3 STUNNING SKY -- Valley View (G3) heroine has knocked heads with some of the better in this division in 2020 for Mike Maker. Stout late runner is a two-time winner at the distance, and she will be moving best of all in the lane with Santana in the stirrups.

#4 PRINCESS GRACE -- Top selection opened up a nice late lead in the Valley View only to be collared late for Stidham. Lightly raced daughter of Karakonite has done little wrong to date, and I envision her tracking from third and getting up late with Geroux taking the reins.

#5 HOW IRONIC -- Sneaky contender rallied to be third in the recent Valley View at Keeneland for Oliver. Chestnut daughter of Tonalist is a one-run closer with a nice closing kick, and if the pace is swift enough, she could be dangerous late at a fair number. Bejarano retains the ride.

#6 PASS THE PLATE -- Three-time stakes placed filly beat allowance foes on the dirt at Keeneland last out for McGee and comes back to the green on Saturday. Third in the Tepin S. on the course in May, the dark bay will be looming into contention nearing midstretch under Talamo.

#7 WITEZ -- Ian Wilkes pupil draws widest in the cast following a fourth-place result in the Valley View. Grade-2 placed filly has run two of her better races over ‘off’ going, and she moves up if there is some give in the ground. Julien Leparoux will be in the controls atop the stalker.
