How to bet the Pick 5 carryover on July 6 at Finger Lakes

The carryovers are getting smaller, which is bad news considering our debt is getting bigger after swinging and missing at the mandatory single^6 on Saturday at Churchill and the $16k Pick 5 carryover on Tuesday at Fort Erie, but Wednesday brings another opportunity with $9,932 up for grabs in the Pick 5 at Finger Lakes.

It's a more manageable sequence than yesterday at Fort Erie where I felt compelled to cold-deck the early double and go all-all in the late double of the sequence. I whiffed on both ends of the double and was pretty much out before it began. I don't mind the try, though, considering the prices that came in the all legs, so our bankroll was hurt, but our confidence is unwavering.

I have the most confidence in legs 3 & 4 (race 6 & 7) with plans to only go 2 deep in those races and 4-5 deep in legs 1, 2, & 5 (races 5, 6, & 9).

Here's the caveman plan for a couple C-notes: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 with 2, 3, 5, 7 with 1, 2 with 2, 5 with 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. The only horse I'm not using in leg 1 (race 5) is #3 Eddies Dream, which feels like living on the edge given the name, but he's hard to back. In leg 2 #3 Heavy Hitter may appeal to attorney Darryl Isaacs, but at 9-to-5 I can't lean on him even as one of the bigger morning line favorites in the sequence.
