January's Top Stories To Follow At Palm Beach
*Kb's Like A Fox*
We are halfway through the racing season at Palm Beach! January should be quite an exciting month to follow the action at the Palm Beach Kennel Club, with records being pursued and Stakes and National Titles up for grabs for the top greyhounds here.
Here are the top stories to follow this month at "The Beach."

All Time Wins Chase
This is something that we have been following for a long time, but it's starting to become a whole lot more real. Super sprinter Kb's Like A Fox from 11 time Kennel champion Rader Racing sits on 81 career wins, trailing only the great Pat C Rendezvous who amassed 85 W's ending in 1995. The two time Track Champion probably won't break the record this month but might be able to tie for it or get really close. We are literally watching history right before our eyes every time Fox gets the start.
*HotFoot Rihanna*
$50,000 He's My Man Classic Final
As we've seen in the first two rounds of this Tournament, this thing is wide open. HotFoot Rihanna & Amf Wild Burst surprisingly lead the points standings, while favorites Pat C Short Cut, Superior Tyson & Sg's Tom Seaver are right in the thick of it. The Final on January 16th is one of the most anticipated races in the country and this year should be no different.

Ethel Is Here Burning Up The Rhonda Course
She is by far the fastest 660 yard racer we've ever seen at Palm Beach. Ethel Is Here from the Janie Carroll Kennel broke her own Track Record last month with a ridiculous 37.13 secs victory and now owns the top three splits ever in the 83 year history of this race track. You just never know what might happen when she starts. She will start her qualifying for the $50,000 James W. Paul 3/8ths Mile Derby at the end of the month, where she will be the heavy favorite. Can she go under 37 seconds this season?
*Superior Tyson*
Season Wins Chase
For the second year in a row, we should have a chase that goes right down to the wire for which greyhound will have the most W's by the seasons end on June 30th.
Last year, KB's Like A Fox & JS SpeedyPebbles battled all the way to the end and this year has the same type of feel to it. Barts Dublin & Fox are currently tied with 16 wins, with Ethel right behind them with 15. Most likely, one of these three will be your Track Champion, but watch out for Amf Wild Burst or "Iron Mike" Superior Tyson to be right in the mix as well.

The Racing Finale of JS SpeedyPebbles
With her 4th birthday coming up next month, her Team has admitted this is probably Pebbles last serious run at glory. The pride of Abilene, Kansas from owner Shannon Henry has made fans from all over the world that cannot get enough of the "Queen of Palm Beach." She will attempt to make a record third Classic Final this month and possibly a third $50,000 St. Patrick's Day Final in March. She also is chasing 60 career wins as she currently has 58. She truly has united a fan base and is by far the most popular athlete this Club has seen in some time.
Shorty Goes For A Championship
On January 23rd in Daytona Beach, Pat C Short Cut from owner Patrick Collins will attempt to win the second annual BetAmerica Daytona 550 National Championship. "Shorty" will try and build on Storm Control's Runner-Up finish last year and bring home the top prize to South Florida in 2016. The "Monster of the Mid-Track" has a solid shot at it, if he is able to score an outside box draw.
Watch That Handle!
The winter months have typically been very successful for Palm Beach financially because of the influx of people coming down from the North. Don't be surprised to see multiple $1,000,000 days for the most successful greyhound track in the country.
Enjoy all the greyhound racing action this month Palm Beach fans!
