Keeneland - Transylvania Stakes, April 4, 2014

April 4th, 2014

Keeneland 9 | 5:13 pm ET G3 Transylvania for 3yo going 1 mi (T)

Opening day at Keeneland and that means the three-year-olds will kick off their Spring meet in the Grade 3 Transylvania. The race looks like a good spot for PLEUVEN, who is making his second start off a layoff and third start in the U.S. for trainer Chad Brown. The French-bred won two of four in his native country before shipping west across the Atlantic. He will need to pick things up late; however, as this race came up salty. GLOBAL VIEW had no shot against Bobby's Kitten in his last, but may be worth a bet here. Owned by Glen Hill Farm and trained by Tom Proctor, GLOBAL VIEW will improve off his last start and will be in a good stalking position early. STORMING INTI is the morning line favorite, but the race came up with a lot pace and this may be a sixteenth farther than he wants to go. The upsetter in the field is CAN'THELPBELIEVING, a stone cold closer from the Graham Motion barn. If you are putting together a pick-4 wager, he is a must use. The post may be bad, but expect jockey Joel Rosario to break and go straight to the back. MEDAL COUNT, WOODFIELD SPRINGS and PICOZZA all are worth using on any trifecta or superfecta ticket.
