Pro: Non-threatening third in Iroquois (G3) but has room to improve.

Con: Iroquois seemingly not the strongest of early Derby preps.

Pro: Has won for fun in both starts and bred to stretch out.

Con: Likely to inherit lead but is untested under pressure.


 

Universe wins at Saratoga.

Pro: Class drop helps following distant third in Champagne (G1).

Con: Hasnโ€™t left the gate in ideal fashion in two prior starts.

 


 


 

#4 Very Connected             **

Pro: Has improved with each start; up in time to win over this track and trip.

Con: Stablemate Universe is the more appealing of the McPeeks.

Pro: Improved, adding blinkers, and should appreciate more ground.

Con: Only just graduated at Horseshoe Indy and enters deeper waters.

Pro: Half to G1 filly Sweet Loretta, a track-and-distance maiden winner.

Con: Early speed figures have been relatively soft.

Pro: Broke quicker, won going away second out; interesting prospect.

Con: Jumping from maiden company to stakes is his biggest challenge.
