New York Handicapper Wins Brisnet.com Race Of The Day

Heather Van Alstyne St. Gelais won the Brisnet.com Race of the Day contest for spring-summer 2013, and the Waterford, New York, resident opted to take the $2,000 cash prize rather than a trip to Las Vegas. St. Gelais said that she would put the prize toward "a mini vacation" and betting the upcoming Breeders' Cup World Championships via TwinSpires.com.

St. Gelais has attended the Breeders' Cup twice at Belmont Park, and she has visited all of New York's tracks while listing nearby Saratoga Race Course as her favorite both to visit and to bet. Her favorite horses are Arazi, Fourstardave, Funny Cide, Go For Wand, Rachel Alexandra, and Zenyatta.
