Overnight events highlight Tuesday card at Rosecroft
Monday evening may have marked the opening of the Harrington Raceway spring meet and that 12-race card offered more than its fair share of stellar efforts and upsets, but the focal point for standardbred racing fans shifts to Rosecroft Raceway on Tuesday.
Midway through the Tuesday card at Rosecroft, Acceletron (Frank Milby) and Frost Advisory (Jonathan Roberts) will look to settle the issue late. Acceletron won his most recent outing for trainer-driver Frank Milby and owner Candy Milby in 1:56.4 as the even-money choice on April 17, the same night in which Frost Advisory prevailed as the 1-5 favorite in 1:57. Acceletron will start from post two and Frost Advisory will leave from post nine in the second tier, but they could be almost inseparable at the wire.
Then one race later in a non-winners of $5000 last five starts class for trotters, Candy Stash (Milby) should finally notch his first win of the campaign. Winless in six starts heading into the Tuesday card, Candy Stash has finished second twice and third twice this year and he has been the beaten favorite in each of his last four starts. But he could make amends at a generous price in a race where Prayer Session (Roberts) looms as the favorite despite being winless in seven tries this year. This will also mark the 100th lifetime start for Prayer Session, who already boasts 28 career victories.
Then one race later in the featured non-winners of $8000 last five starts class, locals Cabbie's Delight (Jason Thompson) and Hi Sir (Russell Foster) will look to secure the home track advantage against Dover Downs invaders Movie Sequel (Milby) and Brody (Sean Bier) who finished third and fourth, respectively, in a non-winners of $9751 last six starts class on closing day at the Delaware five-eighths mile oval. Cabbie's Delight was fourth in each of his last two tries in the Open 2, while Hi Sir notched his first win of the season last week against conditioned foes in 1:52.4 and appears to be rounding into form.

A winner two starts back against bottom-level conditioned foes, Varsity Hanover finished third on April 12 and then missed last week. Action Brad (Foster) finished fourth and sixth, respectively, in his last two tries against non-winners of $6000 last five foes after prevailing against non-winners of $2500 company on April 5.
