Palm Beach Top 10 Rankings January 2015
The new year got off to a tremendous start at Palm Beach, with the He’s My Man Classic & National Championship headlining the racing scene. Storm Control from B & B Racing leads the Rankings again, with many familiar other greyhound faces still dominating as well.
Here are the Top 10 Rankings for January 2015 at “The Beach.”
#1 Storm Control ~ Sprinter ~ B & B Racing
~13 wins on the season, 29.39 secs best time.
The He’s My Man Champion and National Championship Runner-Up leads the Rankings for the second consecutive month. The Steve Schlachter owned racer is now a Double Stakes winner and will look for another next month in the St. Pats Invite. Probably is the top breaker in the entire country right now.
#2 JS SpeedyPebbles ~ Sprinter ~ Koppe, Staats & Collins
~16 wins on the season, 29.45 secs best time.
The Daytona 550 invite took “The Queen of Palm Beach” to another stardom level this past month. The 45 time career winner is a dynamic breaker and very consistent with her races. Incredibly has run in 5 Stakes Finals with another one coming up next month. One of the most popular athletes in all of South FLA.
#3 Hustle It Up ~ Sprinter ~ Janie Carroll Kennel
18 wins on the season (current wins leader), 29.53 secs best time.
The surprise greyhound of the season. Her Kennel and this rookie in their first seasons at Palm Beach have been just dominant. An 89% board hitter and a Runner-Up in the “Super Bowl of Palm Beach” He’s My Man Classic. The favorite currently to be hoisting up the Season Wins Championship in July.
#4 Ethel Is Here ~ Middle Distance ~ Janie Carroll Kennel
14 wins on the season, 37.28 secs best time (Track Record)
Ethel is gearing up for the Derby, with qualifying rounds starting this Wednesday. The record breaker will be the clear favorite to take the top prize in that tournament and she should be. Rare combo of sensational rush and an even better close on the 3/8th Mile course.
#5 Atascocita Sybil ~ Marathon ~ Suncoast Racing
12 wins on the season, 41.78 secs best time (seasons best)
The top Marathon greyhound period. Reeled off 5 straight in the month of January and is one of the favorites for next month’s Derby.
#6 Just For Kicks ~ Sprinter ~ Janie Carroll Kennel
~11 wins on the season, 29.11 secs best (seasons top time)
“White Lightning” was just that in the month of January. Smoked the two fastest times of any greyhound this season (29.11 & 29.25 secs) once the calendar turned to 2015. Impressive youngster without a doubt.
#7 KB’s Like A Fox ~ Super Sprinter ~ Rader Racing
~13 wins on the season, 16.48 secs best time
The legend continues for “The Fox.” 51 times to the winner’s circle in his career, along with continuing to be the best super sprinter here. Last years Track Champion truly is one of the all time greats.
#8 Amf Pushover ~ Sprinter ~ B & B Racing
~14 wins on the season, 29.39 secs best time
The most dynamite closer in the entire Club. Has come back from last to win multiple times this season, along with consistently finishing in the money. Expect a few more jaw dropping finishes as the season rolls along from Pushover.
#9 PJ Smoke Em Out ~ Sprinter ~ Agganis Kennel
~15 wins on the season, 29.64 secs best time
Simply one of the best box flippers around. Qualified for the He’s My Man Classic Final, along with currently being third on the season wins board.
#10 WW’s Genesis ~ Sprinter ~ Janie Carroll Kennel
9 wins on the season, 29.55 secs best time
One of the most consistent racers currently going. Impressive that he finished in the money in all 5 rounds of the Classic this month, including the prestigious Final.
