Three of the four black-type tilts at Aqueduct on Saturday will close out the card and be part of the Pick 4 of the Week.
Race 8 Wager
- 50-cent Pick 4: 1,6 with 4,6,7,11 with 4,8,10 with 1,4,8 ($36)
Race 8 – Allowance
The boys will travel 1 1/16 miles on the green to commence the wager. #1 Activist Investing (5-2) broke his maiden on the surface and will make a second run off the long absence for Brown. The Kingman five-year-old will save ground to the top of the lane with Irad in the irons.
#6 Itsallcomintogetha (7-2) is the main danger to the leading selection for Phil Serpe. The Weekend Hideaway five-year-old has early speed, a very good mark on the course, and comes off a fine run at Gulfstream Park off the layoff, as well. Jose Gomez will pilot the bay.
Race 9 – Take the A Train S.
A full field of sophomore fillies will dash six panels on the lawn in the second leg. Waterville Lake Stables homebred #6 Annascaul (9-2) displayed a good amount of ability as a juvenile and could be the one if she is ready for her three-year-old debut. Clement's trainee will be rallying from off the pace beneath Irad.
#4 Love Cervere (5-1), also from the Clement shedrow, will improve on the cutback in distance beneath Rosario. The Into Mischief filly was a fine debut winner on this course in November. While I’m not in love with #7 Lovely Emma (9-2), I do recognize that the Twirling Candy filly could be the one to catch turning for home in a field lacking an abundance of speed. Flavien Prat has the call. #11 Warming (8-1) will need a defection to make it to the starting gate, but if the Graham Motion filly does get in, I view her as a win contender.
#5 My Mane Squeeze holds on to win the @FasigTiptonCo Dogwood (GIII) at Churchill Downs.

Race 10 – Ruffian S. (G2)
A well-matched field of 11 fillies and mares will vie in an ultra-competitive affair at one mile. I thought #10 My Mane Squeeze (7-2) had a big chance in a much more difficult spot at Churchill Downs last weekend, so I surely feel she is good enough in this encounter. The Empire State-bred dons a 4-3-1-0 mark on the course and is also two-for-two at the trip, as well. Manny Franco will ride.
#8 Jody’s Pride (5-1) lacks consistency, but the Abrue trainee can be very good when she’s on top of her game. The American Pharoah four-year-old is perfect from two tries on the surface and will get first run on the deep closing types turning for home under Rosario. #4 Sterling Silver (9-2) is a great fit at a one-turn mile, and the Cupid mare comes off a really good showing in her seasonal debut for Mott. The gray will be a danger inside the final furlong.
Race 11 – Peter Pan S. (G3)
A total of 10 sophomores will go postward in the finale. I like #4 Hill Road (5-2) a lot in general, and even though he will likely have little to no pace to run at in the nine-furlong test, he’s still my top pick. Chad Brown trainee will be moving best of all late under Flavien Prat.
#1 Vassimo (5-1) has dealt with Grade 2 fields in Louisiana in his last pair of offerings and will find this race more to his liking. The Pletcher pupil could be well placed at the top of the lane with Irad in the irons. #8 Captain Cook (2-1) won the Withers S. here at the distance two back and could be the one to beat for Dutrow.
