Pick 4 of the Week: Aqueduct Saturday [Dec. 6, 2025]

Six black-type races will be hosted by Aqueduct on Saturday, with four of them being of the graded stakes variety. I’ll take a swing at the all-stakes Pick 4 that concludes the fantastic card.
Race 8 Wager
50-cent Pick 4: 8,10,11 with 2,9,11 with 1,4,7 with 2,5,7,8 ($54)
Race 8 – Stallion Series S. (Fifth Avenue)
A baker’s dozen juvenile fillies will speed seven-eighths on the dirt to commence the wager. #10 Hot Currency doesn’t boast the best Brisnet Speed ratings in the field, but the $200,000 Central Banker filly graduated with authority with the addition of blinkers last time and could run big right back for Linda Rice.
#8 Braverthanubelieve finished fast in a debut run in the slop on the oval and could be a good one for John Ortiz. Joel Rosario inherits the ride. Key Cents S. heroine #11 She’s Country gets Irad for her dirt debut, and she will be very tough if she takes to the main oval for George Weaver.
Race 9 – Remsen S. (G2)
A big field of 12 will go nine panels on the dirt in the second leg. The field is full of well-bred, exciting prospects, but I’ve narrowed my search to a trio of juveniles. #2 Paladin, #9 Renegade, and #11 Talkin, are the ones.

Race 10 – Cigar Mile H. (G2)
An excellent field of seven will travel one turn on the dirt in a difficult third piece of the play. The Brad Cox-trained #7 Bishops Bay sure likes to win, evidenced by his 8-for-12 career mark, and the recent $1.3 million purchase is also two-for-two running one mile at Aqueduct, as well. He’s a must-use with Prat in the irons.
I’m a big fan of #4 Crazy Mason in general, and the stout late runner might get the right setup in a field with some fast horses. #1 Doc Sullivan has never been better, and the John Ortiz pupil also gets a weight break from the major players in the field.
I might regret this, but I am omitting the excellent #6 Phileas Fogg. The Grade 2 victor has been knocking heads with some outstanding horses this season, and he is surely talented enough to take down this field. But I don’t love him cutting back to one turn, and the addition of blinkers is curious to me, as well.
Race 11 – Stallion Series S. (Great White Way)
An overflow cast of 16 two-year-old boys are entered for the seven-furlong finale. The Butch Reid-trained #2 Parker Boone ran his foes off their feet at Parx at first asking and earned a hefty 93 Brisnet Speed rating in the process. The Solomini colt will be formidable with even minor improvement with Sanchez coming in to ride.
#5 True Legend and #7 Spirit of New York will move from the turf to the main oval, and I think that one or both will appreciate the surface change. #8 Muscle Shoals hasn’t been beating much, but I like the way he has done so in his two wins, and the gelding could be a big price in the finale.
