Pick 4 of the Week: Aqueduct Saturday [Nov. 8, 2025]

November 6th, 2025

I’ll take a swing at the early Pick 4 at Aqueduct on Saturday, where two of the five black-type races on the card will be part of the sequence.

Race 2 Wager

50-cent Pick 4: 3 with 1,2,4,6 with 1,3,8 with 2,4,7,8,11 ($30)

Race 2 – Optional Claiming

Nine boys are entered for the grass in the deep six-furlong heat on the outer lawn to kick things off. Tabbing a sophomore to beat elders is always a bit tricky, but I will single #3 Cyclonite to kick off the card for conditioner Mark Casse. The Bucchero gelding has improved in each of his three races since arriving in the U. S. and will be stalking the pace from the break under Dylan Davis.

Race 3 – Dwyer S.

Six sophomore colts will travel the one-turn mile in the first stakes race of the afternoon. Four of the six are legitimate threats in the tilt, and I will include each of them. Grade 3 winners #1 Tip Top Thomas and #2 Disco Time will be used, in addition to allowance romper #4 Stars and Stripes and Sir Barton S. victor #6 Crudo

Race 4 – Pumpkin Pie S.

The seven-furlong dirt dash attracted eight, including the Bill Mott-trained #1 Nic’s Style. By Uncaptured, the Florida-bred has only been topped by the brilliant Ways and Means in her lifetime and won this race for fun last campaign. She’s been off since March and got a tricky spot on the fence, but she’s a must-use, nonetheless.

Parx invader #3 Taliesin looks to be the pace of the race and looms a danger under Frankie Pennington. Chad Brown’s #8 Weigh the Risks can be very good on her best day and also makes the ticket.

Race 5 – Maiden Special Weight

A full group of 12 juvenile fillies will go six panels on the sod in the final piece of the play, and I have to include multiple runners in the challenging dash. #2 Channelview#4 Three Sixty#7 Fraudster#8 Belarosa, and #11 A Moment a Love are the ones.
