Pick 4 of the Week: Fair Grounds Saturday [Dec. 13, 2025]

Fair Grounds will host Louisiana Champions Day on Saturday with an exciting 12-race card. I’ll take a swing at the last of the trio of Pick 4 options on the card.
Race 9 Wager
- 50-cent Pick 4: 11 with 1,2,4,5 with 1,2,5,6,7 with 1,8,11 ($30)
Race 9 – Turf S.
An overflow field of 12 has been entered for the $125,000 tilt that will be run at 1 1/16 miles. I’m pretty logical and confident in the final three pieces of the play, so I’ll take my shot with a single to commence the wager. #11 Allnight Moonlight (5-1) was a dominant stakes winner on the course in March in his lone run on the surface, and I like his chances to make it two-for-two at Fair Grounds. The Samuel Breaux pupil has checked in first or second in four of five lifetime runs on the turf, and the five-year-old son of Ransom the Moon could peak while making his third run off the layoff, as well. Jose Ortiz taking the reins adds to his appeal.
Race 10 – Sprint S.
The top-three finishers from the recent Andrew Ney S. are back in this spot, and I’ll include each of them once again in the dash. #5 Not On Herb (2-1), #1 Geaux Sugar (5-2), #2 El Dinero (7-2) will make the ticket along with the stakes winning #4 Hay Jude (9-2).
Geaux Sugar gets his third stakes win of the meet with a win in the Costa Rising S. at @fairgroundsnola! 🏆@mitchellmurrill was up for trainer Keith Bourgeois.

Race 11 – Maiden Special Weight
I’m not overly intrigued with any of the lassies in the one-mile event on the main oval and will spread in the third leg. #1 Stella Guitar (5-1), #2 Jet Ruckus (3-1), #5 Mo Echos (4-1), #6 Running Faith (5-2), and #7 Sweet Aurora G (5-2) are the ones.
Race 12 – Claiming
Trainer Bret Calhoun seems to have a pretty tight grip on the finale with a pair of class droppers. #1 Sweet Darlin (7-5) and #11 Jaydyn Cat (9-2) are his pair, and I’ll also include #8 Emilyhasherturn (8-1), who might be controlling speed off the layoff for Jeansonne.
