Pick 4 of the Week: Horseshoe Indianapolis Saturday

The Pick 4 of the Week will come from the Hoosier State on Saturday during the marquee afternoon of the meeting.
Race 10 Wager
- $1 Pick 4: 4 with 2,5 with 1,3,6,7,9 with 1,5,6 ($30)
Race 10 – Ellen’s Lucky Star H.
Sophomore fillies bred in Indiana will travel one mile on the lawn in an interesting opening leg of the sequence. I never love starting a multi-race play with a single for a few reasons, but I will do so here with Rodolphe Brisset’s #4 Off Pitch (5-2). The daughter of Mo Town lacks consistency, which is a concern, but she is a stakes heroine and also comes off a big try versus open company while making her grassy debut last time. A repeat of her latest will do the trick with Bermudez in the silks.
Race 11 – Indiana Oaks (G3)
#2 Clicquot (8-5) and #5 Heavenly Sunset (9-5) ran first and second, respectively, in a highly rated allowance event at Churchill Downs last time, and I feel that using both is the logical decision.
Publisher is back and will be making his first start since the @KentuckyDerby in Saturday's G3 Indiana Derby at @HSIndyRacing! 🤩

Will this be the day he breaks his maiden? 🎓

Race 12 – Indiana Derby (G3)
I will take the ‘easy’ way out and use each of the five major contenders in the field since I have had an impossible time trying to separate them. It’s not ideal to go this deep, but I am compelled to include each. Arkansas Derby (G1) runner-up #1 Publisher (5-1), Rebel S. (G2) victor #3 Coal Battle (7-2), game Ohio Derby (G3) second, Grade-1 placed #6 Tip Top Thomas (6-1), Woody Stephens S. (G1) third #7 Big Truzz (9-2), and two-time stakes star #9 Instant Replay (4-1), will make the ticket.
Race 13 – Maiden Special Weight
The closing race will pit fillies and mares on the lawn in a 1 1/16-mile affair. Brad Cox’s #1 Elite Heat (3-1) will be a popular single to close out the card. The bay was a clear second in her initial route attempt at Tampa Bay Downs last out and got a cozy draw on the rail, too. She will be forcing the action throughout under Pedroza.
I will also toss in a pair of first-time starters from good barns – #5 Casso Hill (6-1) and #6 Delicately (6-1) – to conclude the wager.
