Player Quick Pick for 2/25/2014

Turf Paradise Race 6 Post Time 5:28 pm EST Claiming (6.25) for 3&up going 7.5f (T)
My race - and bet - of the day takes us out to Turf Paradise.
I want to start with the 1-Centenario de Oro. His last start was at the 1 mile 1/16, and I think the cut back in distance today will really help. He loves to be in front and I expect the same here. Ran a blistering 1:10 4/5 6f time, then weakened and got swarmed by the closers. If he can get out to an unpressured lead and set softer fractions, he could win this.
The next one I want to look at is the 8-Touch the Sun. This 6 year old gelding has placed 19 times in 35 career starts. He will stalk the pace. In his last race at 1 mile, he stalked the pace went 5 wide into the turn and hung finishing 3rd right behind my top selection the 7-Seven Tuff.
Seven Tuff has placed in 16 of his 25 starts. This horse will drop back to the tail of the field with very little early speed, but has a very good closing kick. He needs a fast pace to run at, and if he gets that I will have no worries about him winning this race. He has finished 2nd in 3 straight races. I feel confident that this is his day to cross the line first.
My long shot bet is on the 4-Hunter Kane. The owners of this horse really have me puzzled. In April of last year, he was on turf against 10k claimers and won. Then for some reason, he was put on dirt for his next 10 starts with very little success. Finally back on turf today, he could steal this race at a nice price.
