Turf Paradise Race 7 Post time: 6:06 pm ET Claiming (3.5) for 3&up going 1 mi.
I want to start with the 8-Chase Man. After not faring to well in his last race on turf, he comes back to the dirt where he won his last start against the same. The class relief will help this one's chances. Well slotted against this group. The next one I want to look at is the 6-Latin Coffee. Another dirt horse that tried his luck on turf last start out with no success. He also won his last start on dirt against the same.
He will stalk the pace of the front runner and my top selection the 1-Mr. Spokane. This gelding is in the best form of the bunch, and in just 8 career starts he has placed in 5. To narrow it down more, in his last 4 starts he is 1-2-1. I could take this horse on just the trainer jockey combo alone. They are red hot right now, winning at 33%. This track favors the front runner and he will be right there. My only concern is the step up in distance.
My long shot bet is the 2-Louie Sunrise. His last start was horrible and he never was a factor. But in his start prior to that, he won beating out Latin Coffee. If he can find that form again he will take this race at a nice price.
