Santa Anita Race 5

MSW for 3yo going 6.5f (T)

The anticipation for the Santa Anita Handicap is at a high level being that it's just two days away. Lets get it even higher by cashing a ticket with the horses coming down the hill at Santa Anita. I'm going to start with the 8 Broadcaster. This colt is making his first start in the United States after being purchased in Ireland by new owner Richard Laird. He is the most experienced of the bunch with 6 career starts. First time lasix and a hot riding Bejarano winning 9 of his last 31, I think this horse will be a factor. The next horse I want to look at is the 5 Number 5. First of all, it's hard to go against  a horse with his name drawing post 5. I love his speed figures from his last race. With just three starts behind his ears, this gelding by Point Given also adds first time lasix. He had a nice workout March 3rd running 3f in 36 4/5. My top selection is the 3 Kozani. This Sadler trained colt has had two career starts knocking on the door both times of breaking his maiden, finishing 2nd to a very good horse in Ontology. He has very good early pace and I am confident that Cory Nakatani and Kozani will break the door down today. My long shot play is on the 1 Tommy's Stylin. This first time starter has had 3 good breeze workouts leading up to this race and with Mike Smith aboard, it wouldn't be a surprise.

My wagers are 3-5-8-1

Good luck and have fun!
