A very good betting race that could have at least one moderately-priced horse, and possibly a longshot hit the or fill out exotics.

MOST PROBABLE WINNER:  10-Ribo Bobo

Ribo Bobo is a deserving favorite here.  He had an outstanding campaign last year, and is starting off hot this year, winning his first two races, and finishing third last time out at Gulfstream.  He is, however, vulnerable.  He did finish 9 ¾ lengths off the winner last out.  But for a horse that won 10-out-of-11 races last year, and 2-of-3 so far in 2014, it’s OK to throw in a clunker every now and again.  He’s your most probable winner.  Play on-top and in multi-race bets.

VALUE HORSE:  2-Javerre

If you’d like a “horse for the course” and a “distance specialist” AND a juicy morning line of 8-1, you can’t do much better than Javerre.  He’s raced at Monmouth five times, winning four races, and coming in second in the only one he didn’t win.  He has also never failed to hit the board at 6 furlongs (8 races, 5 wins, 2 places, 1 show).  With a lot of action on the #10 Ribo Bobo and #1 Candyman E, here’s your value.  Play on-top in exotics and in multi-race bets.  He’s a KEY in exactas and trifectas.

OTHERS TO CONSIDER: 1-Candyman E and 6-Partyallnightlong

Candyman E is another horse that has a great chance to win this race.  He has shown in the past that he can win wire-to-wire from the #1 post.  He has nine career wins at 6 furlongs (only 1 career win at any other distance).  He also has a graded stakes (G3) win on his resume already this year.  A must-play in exotics as well as multi-race bets.

Partyallnightlong is our longshot here.  If this horse hits the board, it’ll be a nice pay-day.  He’s won half of his 14 races at this distance, and has hit the board in 10-of-14.  A lot of bettors won’t play him because he’s been turf racing recently.  Don’t let that dissuade you from confidently putting him in exactas and trifectas, as he’s the “price” horse to key in this race.  He should be in the mix.
