So maybe it doesn't get the same love that Oaks Day did two weeks ago, but Black Eyed Susan Day is just as fun ~ and potentially just as lucrative. So why not take a shot at the $.50 All Stakes Pick 3? Below are the horses I would use on a ticket and why...

note: order of horses is by post position, not preference for wagering purposes ~ it's how I would build the ticket

Pimlico race 10 | 4:47 pm ET G2 Black Eyed Susan for 3yo F going 1-1/8 mi.

1-Joint Return: she's done very little wrong and if we line-through the G2 Gulfstream Oaks try for the layoff or the step-up or whatever reason... she's a legit exotics contender at 15-1 M/L

5-Euphrosyne: speed just has to hold on after very consistent winter at Oaklawn

8-Sloane Square: faced real competition for the first time last out and just missed

 

Pimlico race 11 | 5:21 pm ET Miss Preakness for 3yo F going 6f

6-Tepin: hasn't done much wrong in her career and comes in fresh for a hot Casse barn

 

Pimlico race 12 | 5:52 pm ET G3 Pimlico Special for 3&up gong 1-3/16 mi.

2-Cat Burlgar: steps up with very consistent record for Baffert

3-Moreno: will try to take them wire-to-wire

4-Golden Lad: if the track stays just a bit wet, he's the play

6-Revolutionary: always runs his race
