Player Quick Pick: SunRay early Pick 4 for 5/27/2014

I'm loving these TwinSpires.com sponsored Pick 4s at SunRay every Tuesday! Maybe they aren't horses or connections you're super familiar with, but that makes it all the more fun of a puzzle to solve. Let's try and take down both the Pick 4s today, shall we?

Before we do that, it seems sad to leave the 1st race of the day out of the handicapping just because it's not part of a Pick 4, so here's who I would play:

Race 1 | 3:30 pm ET MSW for 3-5yo going 4.5f

1-Tecumseh Kid ~ trainer's having a good meet & has good first-out stats 2-Zooks ~ given time after sub-par 2yo season 3-Shehryaar ~ debuts on one (lone, singular, only, uno) published work for blisteringly hot Barber, who must think he's Wesley Ward with this move! :) 7-English Prep ~ back after nearly two-year layoff for small barn; ran behind some nice SoCal turfers

Now for the fun stuff!

As always with my exotic wager suggestions, the horses listed below are by program number and how I would build the ticket...

Race 2 | 3:54 pm ET N2L Claiming (5) for 3&up F&M going 4.5f

1-Paid Vacation ~ found home at this level last out & gets a non-apprentice up 3-Vee Secrets ~ back-to-back good efforts 5-Brooklynn's Dream ~ class relief off the win 6-Sassy Diablo ~ line-through last for the rough trip EXOTIC KEY 

Race 3 | 4:18 pm ET MSW for NM-bred 3-5yo F&M going 4.5f

2-Tangled Touch ~ nearly put it together last out 4-World O Cash ~ should improve out of green debut 6-There's a Dream ~ solid jock/trainer stats and debuts with good-enough gate drill 8-Catchdagent ~ how is she still a maiden?!?

Race 4 | 4:42 pm ET N1Y Claiming (5) for NM-bred 3&up F&M going 7f

3-Tommy Jo ~ gets slight class relief & tries a distance that just might be her sweet spot 7-Sour Girl ~ trainer's 0-for-5 at the meet & 0-for-11 with the jock, but the mare always runs her race

Race 5 | 5:06 pm ET OC 12k/C for 3&up F&M going 4.5f

1-Funnyoushouldask ~ speed is always right there at the wire 2-Texas Angel ~ yet to run a bad race this year & in off the win 5-Xtra Golden ~ speed is looking for 3rd straight win

note: wouldn't use her in the Pick 4, but if you're playing in-race exotics, use 6-Coco Rosie: 3rd-itis at a price

Early Pick 4 ticket: 1,3,5,6 / 2,4,6,8 / 3,7 / 1,2,5 ... $48 total on a $.50 bet
