Which horses do the TwinSpires racing analysts like?
Preakness Stakes Panel Picks:
The majority favorite among our five person panel is Incredibolt, with Iron Honor second and Chip Honcho close to Taj Mahal for third choice. The full list of horses that appear are Napoleon Solo, Incredibolt, Iron honor, Chip Honcho, Taj Mahal, Ocelli, Talkin and Bull by the Horns.
Another good option for newcomers to the game is an exacta box play, which carries a higher risk and reward factor. To cash in on an exacta box, a bettor must select the top-two finishers of the Preakness, regardless of the order that the two horses finish in. (In this case, the result can be 9-10 OR 10-9 at the finish and you are a winner.) It’s no easy task to cash this kind of ticket when 14 horses will go to the gate, as picking one horse is not easy, but the exacta can be especially rewarding when you hit it. A $2 exacta in the Kentucky Derby returned in excess of $278!
Other Panel Picks for Saturday:
Maryland Sprint top selections: Faster Gator, Faust, Slam Notion, Celtic Contender
Gallorette Stakes top selections: Ribaltagaia, Awesome Czech, Warming
Jim McKay Turf Sprint Stakes top selections: Chasing Liberty, Run Curtis Run, Isivunguvungu

Race 6 Wager - Sir Barton S.
- 50-cent Pick 4: 4,7 with 4,5,6 with 1,2,4,5,6,8 with 4,5,6 ($54)
A total of seven three-year-olds will travel 1 1/16 miles on the dirt in the opening piece. #7 Reagan’s Honor (7-5) was sent off at 2-1 odds in the Bluegrass (G1), where he failed to fire, but he was very sharp in two straight wins prior to his Keeneland setback and looms large here. The Honor A. P. colt will have Jose Ortiz on board.
Race 7 – Chick Lang S.
A total of eight sophomores will speed six panels on the main strip in the second part of the wager. This is an excellent group signed on with big early speed and strong late runners in a tricky tilt. Three Chimneys homebred #5 Igniter (5-2) was more impressive than it might appear on paper last time in his Jimmy Winkfield S. triumph for Richard Dutrow. The Volatile chestnut comes in fresh for the dash and picks up Irad.
Race 8 – Maryland Sprint (G3)
An especially competitive group of nine will jaunt six furlongs in a tough penultimate leg of the sequence. #1 Bring the Smoke (10-1), #2 Faster Gator (9-2), #4 Haileysfirstnotion (7-2), #5 Floodlites (4-1), #6 Celtic Contender (9-2), and #8 Slam Notion (5-1) are the ones that will make the ticket.
