Santa Anita Grade 2 Sir Beaufort Thursday, December 26, 2013 Race 7, Post time 6:20 pm ET

NO JET LAG comes into the one-mile Sir Beaufort Stakes on opening day at Santa Anita as the horse to beat, but the top pick is going to be TOM'S TRIBUTE from the James Cassidy Barn. Tom's Tribute will be making his graded stakes debut, but has won three of his six starts including back-to-back scores over this turf course. The Lion Heart colt can adapt to any pace scenario and will try to get the jump on the favorite. No Jet Lag is likely to go off shorter than his 5-2 morning line. He is coming out of a good sixth place finish in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Mile and two starts back was electric in winning the Grade 2 City of Hope Mile. Mike Smith, who was in the irons for No Let Lag's last two starts, will now be aboard Tom's Tribute. It should be a great stretch run. GERVINHO is one classy colt having run in seven stake races in his eight career starts. He won a division of the Oceanside at Del Mar in July, but has gone winless in three graded races since. Gervinho should be sitting a great trip and will be positioned in front of the favorites turning for home. In a race without a lot of pace, EDUCATED GUESS, may be worth a long shot look. The three-year-old gelding has won the first two starts of his career and is bred to handle the surface switch. Come and catch him.
