Santa Anita 3 | 7:02 pm ET $407,077 Pick 6 Carryover

Double carryover of over $407,000 in the pick-6 on Friday at Santa Anita; let's take a look at some of the highlights of the sequence, which starts with race three.

MIDNIGHT MAYHEM and TAKEIT TOTHE LIMIT are going to be on the majority of tickets for the opening leg as the top two morning line choices, but don't sleep on YODELING HONEY, who goes long for the first time after two sprint races.

Race four is another good spot to take a shot and bet against the favorites. This one-mile turf race came up short on speed, which gives NEW NATURE a huge shot from the rail. Long shot TIZ BUT A DREAM will also push the pace and the two can make it a merry-go-round race. The favorite GIA IS A BELLA, has not been out since June 2013 and she is a deep closer.

The first single of the day looks to be FANNY BRICE in race five. The four-year-old filly comes off a smashing win nearly three weeks ago and can win from just off the pace. I'M NO PATSY and SPOOKY LADY are others for deeper pocket plays.

The last race of both this blog and the pick-6 is nasty maiden claiming race down the hill. RED GLOBE, NAVARRE and LASSIE'S REWARD finished two-three-four in a similar race a couple of weeks ago and once again are contenders. LASSIE'S REWARD was 25-1 that day and now is 6-1 on the morning line. He should improve for that effort and is a must use. TRIBAL DUDE makes his first start in nearly a year, but looks to have been working well and is the speed. WARRIOR'S RIDGE makes two changes that can get him in the winner's circle, he cuts back in distance from a mile race and drops from maiden special weight races. SUPERBOOT ran six times on turf in England to start his career then came over to the U.S. and of course ran on dirt. Back on turf he fits. ITSGETTINHOTINHERE is a first-time-starter from the John Sadler barn and he can get them ready to roll in their debut, especially down the hill.
