For the most part TEDDY'S PROMISE has been a model of consistency throughout her 28 race career with 11 wins, 4 seconds and two thirds, but there is every once in awhile when she just does not show up and becomes a bet against. Is the Santa Monica that race? Well the last two times she has run worse than third was at Santa Anita at seven furlongs, the distance of the Santa Monica. Of course she did win last year's race by an easy three lengths and comes in to the race this year with some black letter works. SOCIALBUG is 9-2 on the morning line and may be worth a wager if she goes off at that price. If TEDDY'S PROMISE does not make the pace, SOCIALBUG will and it may be easy enough early to get the job done late. SCHERZINGER just beat SOCIALBUG last out and will be doing her best running late. Her jockey, Mike Smith, is absolutely on fire right now and everything he rides is live. HEIR KITTY is coming off the best win of her career, easily defeating graded stakes winners in the Grade 1 La Brea over the track on opening day last month. Also on the Saturday card are the Sunshine Millions stakes for California-breds, four total races worth a combined $825,000.
