CashCall Futurity Hollywood Park race 9 7:34 pm ET / 4:34 pm PT

by Matt Carter

TAP IT RICH has made two starts in his career and has shown enough raw talent and ability to win the Grade 1 Cash Call Futurity.  That raw talent and ability; however, may also be what keeps him from winning.  In his debut at Santa Anita he did everything wrong, but still overpowered his foes.  Then heading into the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile he was not working well, but still managed to be fifth, beaten just three and one-quarter lengths.  When he puts it all together, watch out.  TAMARANDO proved that he could be a two turn horse when he won the prep for the Cash Call, the Real Quiet Stakes, three weeks back.  He ran third in the Grade 1 Front Runner at Santa Anita and won the Grade 1 Futurity at Del Mar.  He will be running late and drew well in post two.  Trainer Ken McPeek has a good history with bringing two-year-olds from Kentucky and on Saturday he brings SHEIKINATOR and RANKHASPRIVILEGES.  Both colts have a win in two starts with Rankhasprivileges coming out of a third place finish in the Grade 3 Delta Jackpot.  Two colts to watch coming out of the Grade 3 Hollywood Prevue (who must prove they can run around two turns) are SHARED BELIEF and KOBE’S BACK.  Of the two, Shared Belief looks like the real deal and can complete a huge day for Jerry Hollendorfer.
