Scully: Cash Control, Ancient Warfare attractive singles in Kentucky Downs All-Stakes Pick 4

Kentucky Downs offers an all-stakes Pick 4 on the final four races Saturday (7-10) and I’ll build my tickets utilizing a pair of singles: Cash Control in the Ladies Turf and Ancient Warfare in the Juvenile.
The Ladies Turf kicks off the sequence and Cash Control is the one to beat for trainer Brad Cox, bringing good tactical speed and strong form to the one-mile event. She finished well last time, registering a 101 BRIS Late Pace rating, and can record her third stakes triumph this season with regular rider Shaun Bridgmohan.
An easy debut maiden winner at Saratoga, Ancient Warfare meets 11 rivals in the 7-furlong Juvenile. The Quality Road colt rallied smartly last time for trainer Mark Casse, closing from the back of the pack to win going away by 2 ½ lengths, and jockey Jose Lezcano gave up riding the final Saturday at Saratoga to stick with the promising Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1) contender. I think Ancient Warfare will continue to show more.
