Seldom Told Going for 9 Straight
Another great weekend of racing action here at bestbet Jacksonville. It might not be 12 stakes races, but we do have most of the competitors, and even some of the winners, taking to post in these feature races. Let’s take a closer look and see if we can get you cashing some tickets.
Race 10 – Another early speeder of Julia Wards in the 1 box and another winner on our sheet. With back to back wins, the last one from this red box, no doubt he gets the front and see it through to win. Pushing the pace early will be the solid A Flying Blue Kush, and late to you need to watch out for Sheezsohot, and the talented youngster who has yet to miss the paysheet, Pat C Merlin. (1-5-6-8)
Race 11 – The trend continues again. Ww Berserk is posted well inside, 2 box this time, has won back to back races in grade A, and looks like the one to beat. With or without the lead, he can get it done, but he must steal a ton to do so. Charlie Bale is in this race, and we all know what he can do when he gets revved up. It will be a tight one late. Others to watch include Pat C Randolph, 6 straight quinielas, and She’s A Mystery. (2-7-6-4)
Race 15 – Double winners in this race Easi Ted won the 660 race and Herstal won the 770 race. Both greyhounds have a good shot here, but Ted is getting better in every start over the distance and Herstal is better suited for the 770 course. Closing late Herstal will threaten, but Ted backs it up with another win. Watch out for the early speeder Gs Hal to be in the mix throughout and Pat C Dashboard has not missed the money in 6 straight, and won’t in this effort. (5-4-6-7)
Race 11 – Now to the outside part of the racetrack and the streaking runner O Ya Gunsmoke. Smoke is the right name as of late for this guy as he has won 3 straight and 4 of 6 efforts in grade A. Untouched to the lead again here, the streak continues. Early he should deal with the quick breaking Gs Mad Mudder to get the front, and late he will have to hold off the charge of Shoot To Thrill and Kc’s Waltrip in order to get it done. (8-2-4-3)
Race 11 – bestbet of the weekend, Seldom Told in the 8 box. This greyhound is one of the best in the country and keeps showing it in every start. He is a half a second faster than anyone else on his cards and has won 8 races in a row, including 2 stakes finals over two distances. He is a man amongst boys tonight and will dominate once again. Trying for next best will be the resurging Idaho Kinky, along with the early speeder Amigos Salsa and the solid grade A closer, who won the senior male stakes, Beachin. (8-2-1-3)
Race 15 – Back to 660 for this race and the rebounding Lk’s Centuria. She got into trouble in the finals of the stakes, but bounced back with a big time win from behind last time out over a similar field. Look for her to break better in this effort and for her to keep the mojo going strong. Always closing and threatening is Kk Whitezin, and although stakes finals elude her, she can win just about everything else. If Centuria stumbles, Whitezin is a winner. Both will have to catch the early speeder Gs Carrie if they want to score the win and Pat C Fracking can’t be forgot about either. The only thing holding him back here might be the post. (4-8-6-7)

Race 7 – Post makes a difference for Ww’s Gypsumclear in this effort. He loves the rail and breaks so much better from those red and blue posts. Here the 1 box is his friend and he steals enough early to hold on late and win. Pushing him late will be talented upstart Dutch Reagan, who just won in B by 8 lengths. Keep in eye behind too for the closing duo of Gs Valor and Lee Polly at the finish. (1-3-8-5)Race 10 – Another early speeder of Julia Wards in the 1 box and another winner on our sheet. Race 7 – Everything going for Gs Viola in this effort. This greyhound likes the rail, has good early speed, and is the only solid grade A greyhound in the field. Even without the front end, she can close a big from off the pace and will do what needs to be done to win. Firing out early, Hilco Spartan will set the pace, but he’s short late and will surrender. Others could be in the mix as well, including the hot off a win runners’ Pat C Ramlin and Perfect Pitch. Race 7 – Real Good Feeling might have finished 3rd in the stakes final, but it was behind Seldom Told and Charlie Bale, no huge names tonight equals another win. Or should I say, 2nd in a row, she won last time out too. She is posted well outside and will outrun anyone late to score tonight. Solid A threat Boc’s Andross should be the one to catch on the lead, that is if he can steal it away from Ln Sugar at the start. Both have the early foot to take control, but neither will be a match for Feelin late. Pay attention to Foolish Chester late too. This closer has 3 win in his last 5 races, including 2 in grade A. Race 11 – Another stakes winner today and that comes in the form of Ww’s Sammy. Sammy won the 550 Consolation event and looks to keep the winning streak intact in this effort. She is a monster when she can get her nose in front and that will happen at some point here. In order to get the win, she might have to run down Flying Rose, that is if she wants to break and run tonight. Don’t forget she had a win streak of her won going in her last 10 races. Rested and ready stakes winner Pat C Outbounds could be driving up late and stealing the thunder at the wire as well, or they all could be upset if Rams Moberrie hits the lid and wires the field on the front end.
