Something for everyone but chalk players in the Sham Stakes

January 10th, 2015

Four handicappers in the Brisnet.com family have weighed in on the Sham Stakes, and the only thing we agree on is that the morning line favorite Calculator is an underlay and not worth betting at the expected price. The Sham Stakes is a 16-point race (10 to the winner) on the Road to the Kentucky Derby.

Before you see our picks, though, you can make your own using FREE Ultimate Past Performances from Brisnet.com.

I’ll let John Mucciolo have the floor first because his top pick in the Daily Selections full-card analysis product available on our site has a positive ROI for the entire Santa Anita meeting so far. Two full weeks into the meeting, that’s some solid handicapping.

You can visit the Daily Selections page for Mucciolo’s full-card Santa Anita selections or Aqueduct from Dick Powell, Gulfstream and Fair Grounds from Tim Holland, and Tampa Bay Downs from Brian Turner, who will also have Oaklawn available next week.

You get a double shot of my picks. First w/ Dan Zucker of Predicteform.com in the podcast below, I tout Rock Shandy while Zucker explains how Predicteform pace-adjusted performance ratings with form-cycle analysis point to St. Joe Bay and Hero Ten All (with Zucker firmly tabbing the latter as his ***TOP PICK***).

And the video below brings it home with The Handicapper’s Edge Editor James Scully putting in his two cents for Pioneerof the West, though the most important pick here is that we agree on The Ohio State University winning the College Football Championship.
