Southland 2015 Razorback Classic Champion is PJ Refined
The Southland 2015 $40,000 Razorback Classic Championship final was held Monday evening and the very impressive PJ Refined comes away with the title after running a blistering time of 36.39 and holding off B'S Headliner down the stretch. Oshkosh Fantasia gives a very good effort and finishes with a solid third place finish.
This was an extremely competitive stakes final, one of most talented greyhound fields that I've seen over the years. The betting favorite who was Cbj Tias Luv finished last and my pick to win, Counselor, who was the 2nd bet favorite in the race, was coming strong at the end but could do no better then 5th place. I am pleased however that MONEYMAKER MIKE'S picks to make the finals were able to come away with the top 3 spots.
As some of you may remember of the 8 selections I made back on May 3rd to make the finals, 4 of them did just that. I did have Counselor as my pick to win it all and with his 5th place effort, I did have 4 of the top 5 finishers in the finals. Congratulations to PJ Refined as well as to her owner Tom Ferris and the Mike Harris Kennel and all other connections of this outstanding greyhound. This makes her third stakes contest of her young career as she had a 2nd place finish in the 2014 Southland Festival Juvenile Championship, made the semi-finals of the 2015 Southland Hound Madness contest and now has won the 2015 Southland RAZORBACK CLASSIC. She's putting together a very strong resume for a spot on the 2015 Greyhound All-American team so best of luck to her in the future. Thanks for reading.
