Southland "Hound Madness Stakes" Finals

March 31st, 2016

Friday evening's card will be highlighted by the running of the 11th race which features Boc's Tony Romo and Daily Prayer in the finals of the 2016 Southland "Hound Madness Stakes" greyhound tournament. Three weeks ago there were 64 talented greyhounds who were entered in this highly competitive stakes contest and after four exciting and hard fought elimination rounds, the championship battle is set with two outstanding  finalists. This stakes contest has seen upset after upset as none of the top 16 seeded greyhounds were able to make it to the final four. As for the two finalists, Boc's Tony Romo was originally seeded 5th and Daily Prayer was seeded 7th and both have clearly shown that they are very deserving of going paw to paw for the title. I think many Southland fans would agree that this year's tournament has been one of the most highly competitive stakes contests that Southland has seen recently and the remaining two greyhounds are certainly a reflection of that.  Congratulations to all of the 64 greyhounds who took part in this very exciting stakes racing over the past few weeks and be sure to tune in for tomorrow evening's championship race of the 2016 Hound Madness Stakes on Friday, April 1. Listed below are the two finalists and their post positions. Best of luck to both of the greyhounds as well as all of their connections. Always remember that BETAMERICA is just a click away for your wagering opportunities or for any questions or comments you may have. Thanks for reading and good luck.

Finals of the 2016 Southland Hound Madness Stakes  - Friday, April 1. Post positions are as follows.

Race 11 - 583 yards - Grade SAA

Daily Prayer - Ryan Farms Kennel - 1 box - has won 3 of her 5 races in the Hound Madness Stakes and finished 3rd and 5th the other two times.

Boc's Tony Romo - Bussmann Balakas Kennel - 3 box  has won all 5 of his races in the Hound Madness Stakes and has an eight race winning streak currently.

Boc's Tony Romo has been on an incredible run in this stakes contest and there's no reason to think he won't put up another huge effort here.  Daily Prayer has certainly stepped it up as of late and while she's the underdog here, she's shown the heart and determination of a winner in reaching the finals. Should be an hard fought battle early but I believe Boc's Tony Romo has too much in the tank and pulls away for the big win.
