Southland Hound Madness Stakes

Sunday's greyhound racing card at the Southland track will be highlighted by the Greyt 8 round of the quarterfinals of the 2016 Southland "Hound Madness Stakes". After Wednesday's round the field has now been cut down to the final 8 greyhounds from the original 64 who were entered. Just like the NCAA basketball tournament this stakes competition has seen one upset after another as all of the top seeds have been eliminated. In fact, of the top sixteen seeds only one greyhound has advanced to the final eight and he was a 4th seed. After the results from the Sweet Sixteen round I have just one pick remaining in the final eight and that is my pick I had said to keep an eye on as Amf Sleekstrangr was the only one able to advance. The semifinal round of the 2016 HOUND MADNESS STAKES will be on Sunday, March 20 and the finals on Friday, April 1.
