SOUTHLAND Kennel study recap as of Friday, August 5
For the month of August I am going to be keeping up with 4 different Southland kennels and checking their results from several days each week. People have often asked me if it pays off to keep up with the them and my answer is yes, it definitely can benefit you to pay attention to how well the different kennels might be running at any given time. It is always a good choice to keep a kennel chart close by during a performance in my opinion. There will be 36 races on the Friday matinee & evening programs so make a day of it and let's see if we can't put some cash in your pockets with a couple of winning greyhounds. Kennels I am following this week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Robert Thorne Lic. Kennel - had 9 entries on the Wednesday twilight program and 9 entries on the Thursday twilight program. Of those 18 entries on Wednesday and Thursday, the kennel had 0 winners, 5 place finishes, 1 show finish and 3 fourth place efforts. On Friday they have 9 entries for the matinee and 4 entries for the evening performances.
Legg Greyhound Kennel - had 12 entries on the Wednesday twilight program and 7 entries on the Thursday twilight program. Of those 19 entries on Wednesday and Thursday, the kennel had 1 winner, 1 place finish, 1 show finish and 1 fourth place effort. On Friday they have 8 entries for the matinee and 7 entries for the evening performances.
T and T Kennel - had 13 entries on the Wednesday twilight program and 11 entries on the Thursday twilight program. Of the 24 entries on Wednesday and Thursday, the kennel had 5 winners, 1 place finish, 2 show finishes and 3 fourth place efforts. On Friday they have 11 entries for the matinee and 6 entries for the evening performances.
Plum Creek Kennel - had 10 entries on the Wednesday twilight program and 13 entries on the Thursday twilight program. Of the 23 entries on Wednesday and Thursday, the kennel had 4 winners, 2 place finishes, 2 show finishes and 1 fourth place effort. On Friday they have 7 entries for the matinee and 12 entries for the evening performances.
This unscientific short study gives the early edge to the T and T Kennel as they had 11 top finishes in 24 races and 5 of those were winners.
Plum Creek also had a good two days as that kennel had 9 top four finishes in 23 starts and 4 of those were winners.
