SOUTHLAND preview - Friday evening, July 22
Friday evening's greyhound racing action at Southland looks to be full of exciting & entertaining paw to paw action and with that in mind, I've selected 3 greyhounds that I think have the good possibility of getting a win. To this point, of the 12 picks I've given so far in July, 6 of the choices have been winners. We were able to get back on the winning track as 2 of the MoneyMaker Mike selections for Wednesday were able to post solid winning efforts. Both UNORETHADOXX and L'S DIGITY DOG came thru with first place finishes and I hope to continue to do well with the Friday evening selections below. There will be 18 races on the card for the Friday evening card so make a day of it and let's see if we can't put some cash in your pockets with a couple of winning greyhounds. Race 6 - In this race I'm going with KR ALL AMPED UP (8 box) as she has run well for me in the past and shows 2 wins in her last 6 contests. Likes the inside so will need to get out early and find a running lane in which to position her to challenge this field for the win. She has run against top notch competition in the past so look for her to be in the chase down the stretch here.
Race 15 - I'm staying with DARE DEVIL DEVEN (8 box) to keep running strong as he's got a win and 3 second place finishes in his last 4 starts. Talk about being consistent, hard to bet against this one as well as he is running these days. In 33 starts this season, he's been in the quinela 19 times and the trifecta 25 times so he's more then capable of continuing his hot streak in this one.
Race 18 - Here we have the always exciting super marathon race over the 820 yard course and most greyhound fans will have their eyes on FIESTA TRAVEL (8 box) as she goes for her 4th straight win over this long distance course. She's another inside runner but really can run good from any box she draws and odds are her side that she'll be in hunt as they battle to the wire and I think she keeps the winning streak going here.
