SOUTHLAND preview - Friday evening, July 29
For Friday evening's greyhound racing action at Southland the highlights will be the 15th and 18th races as there are two greyhounds (both from the David Blair Kennel) that will be looking to continue some nice winning streaks. In race 15, FIESTA MERCURY (1 box) is going for his 4th straight win and with his inside running style couldn't have drawn a better box in which to do it. In race 18, and also from the David Blair Kennel, is FIESTA TRAVEL (2 box) who is trying to make it 5 straight wins. Her post position certainly agrees with her running style so odds are good that she will continue her winning ways. As I've been doing this month, I've selected 3 greyhounds that I think have the good possibility of getting a win and I've listed them below. To this point, of the 21 picks I've given so far in July, 8 of the choices have been winners. Wednesday's selections didn't result in any winners but I'm hoping to get back on track with the picks here. For Friday's selections, I have listed my MoneyMaker Mike's picks below so be sure to check them out. There will be 18 races on the card for Friday's evening program so make a day of it and let's see if we can't put some cash in your pockets with a couple of winning greyhounds. Best of luck to each of you in your wagering opportunities and thanks for reading.
Race 4 - K'S KRIEGER (4 box) - He's coming off an impressive showing last time out with an 8 1/2 length win so I think he's more then capable of a repeat here in Grade C. He hasn't had the wins like last season but he's still a solid running greyhound that has faced much tougher competition so I won't be surprised to see him come right back with another winning effort.
Race 10 - SE TALI SUNDANCE (2 box) - This very talented greyhound is looking to make it 3 wins in a row and 4th win out of his last 5 starts. His record this season at Southland is impressive to say the least with 30 top four starts in 32 races and includes 20 wins already. Tons of early speed always gives him a shot, he should find running room early for his mid-track running style.
Race 17 - SHOW ON THE ROAD (8 box) - He's looking to get back in form after a two month absence from the track and despite his last time out where he finished 6th I have complete confidence that another win is just around the corner. He's the real deal at Southland and had a most amazing run of 26 straight top two finishes in his official starts which unfortunately came to an end in his last race. He hadn't finished worse then 2nd since last December, that was one heck of an incredible streak he had going and to do it at Southland makes it even more amazing.
