SOUTHLAND preview - Monday, August 8
The results are in from the first week of August's kennel study and I've listed them below. I am going to be keeping up with 3 or 4 different Southland kennels each week this month and checking their results from several days each week. People have often asked me if it pays off to keep up with the them and my answer is yes, it definitely can benefit you to pay attention to how well the different kennels might be running at any given time. It is always a good choice to keep a kennel chart close by during a performance in my opinion. This is a very short and unscientific study but keeping up with how the kennels are running on a daily basis is a worthwhile handicapping tool that you could use to your advantage. Remember that BetAmerica is your one stop wagering and racing information site that will gladly assist you in any way should you have any questions so please feel free to contact them. Best of luck to each of you in your wagering opportunities and thanks for reading.

Of the 13 entries on Friday, they had 3 wins, zero second place finishes, 3 show finishes and 1 fourth place effort. Overall for those 3 days - 31 starts - 3 winners- 5 second place finishes- 4 show finishes and 4 fourth place efforts.
Legg Greyhound Kennel - had 12 entries on the Wednesday twilight program and 7 entries on the Thursday twilight program. Of those 19 entries on Wednesday and Thursday, the kennel had 1 winner, 1 place finish, 1 show finish and 1 fourth place effort. Of the 15 entries on Friday, they had 1 win, 2 second place finishes, 1 show finish and zero fourth place efforts. Overall for those 3 days - 34 starts - 2 winners - 3 second place finishes - 2 show finishes and 1 fourth place effort.
T and T Kennel - had 13 entries on the Wednesday twilight program and 11 entries on the Thursday twilight program. Of the 24 entries on Wednesday and Thursday, the kennel had 5 winners, 1 place finish, 2 show finishes and 3 fourth place efforts. Of the 17 entries on Friday, they had 1 win, 2 second place finishes, 2 show finishes and 4 fourth place efforts. Overall for those 3 days - 41 starts - 6 winners, 3 second place finishes, 4 show finishes and 7 fourth place efforts.
Plum Creek Kennel - had 10 entries on the Wednesday twilight program and 13 entries on the Thursday twilight program. Of the 23 entries on Wednesday and Thursday, the kennel had 4 winners, 2 place finishes, 2 show finishes and 1 fourth place effort. Of the 19 entries on Friday, they had 4 wins, 3 second place finishes, 2 show finishes and 2 fourth place efforts. Overall for those 3 days - 42 starts - 8 winners, 5 second place finishes, 4 show finishes and 3 fourth place efforts.
Plum Creek Kennel edges out T and T Kennel in this very short and unscientific kennel study and while it's certainly not enough information to draw many conclusions from, it does give the greyhound fan, and or handicapper, another valuable tool that you may want to consider in making your selections. To the best of my knowledge these statistics are correct and I apologize for any mistakes that may have occured in compiling this study.
