SOUTHLAND Preview - Monday, December 28
Welcome to another Monday of entertaining and exciting greyhound racing at Southland as there are 18 races on tap for your viewing and wagering pleasure on the evening card. For the picks for this twilight program, MoneyMaker Mike will choose 5 greyhounds who aren't on the morning line which will give some longshots a chance to hit the board and hopefully put some cash back in our pockets. Let's end 2015 with some winners and some $$$$$$$. Good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.
Race 2 - 660 yards - Grade C - EMMANATOR - 8 box - the beaten favorite in 4 of his last 6 races, I look for him to be out fast and have enough to hold on for the win.
Race 4 - 583 yards - Grade D - T'S BLAZE EPISOD - 8 box - with 11 out of 18 top four finishes in his young career and being back in Grade D I look for him to be closer to the front then usually. By being closer to the lead and avoiding early trouble, I'm hoping to see him find room to run on the inside and make a bid for a money finish down the stretch.
Race 7 - 583 yards - Grade A - CBJ IRISH CREAM - 8 box - here is a solid top grade runner who has encountered much trouble over the last month but is more then capable of having a big effort as evidenced by his 20 wins this season. The eight box puts him in great position for his mid to wide running style.
Race 9 - 703 yards - Grade C - PJ FLASHBACK - 1 box - he's a rail runner in the one box, worth a solid shot here.
Race17- 660 yards - Grade A - HONDO LAZER - 6 box - she's a newcomer from Wheeling Downs with only 10 starts at Southland but who does have four second place finishes so far. I'll give her a chance to get out early and hold on for the win.
