SOUTHLAND Preview - Monday, November 24

November 24th, 2014

Welcome to another Southland card of 18 exciting races featuring three MoneyMaker picks as well as one of the 5 up and coming greyhounds for November running on Monday's program. We also have the results from the our picks for Saturday evening. Let's get this holiday week off to a great start by hitting some nice payoffs before we sit down to enjoy the Thanksgiving Day feast. Thanks for reading and good luck with your wagering opportunities.

In race 2, a Grade A race over the 583 yard course, is (4) NB'S LEBRONJAMES. This talented young greyhound is one of the 5 up and coming racers at Southland we picked to watch for November and he has proven to be a solid choice. He is 10 out 10 in his short career so far in top three finishes with 5 wins, a second and 4 third place efforts. He was at Palm Beach for his first few races and since arriving at Southland has continued to impress. Likes the inside, has a nice early rush and can close as well.

Race 1 brings us the first MoneyMaker pick of the program, it's a Grade M race over the 583 course and I'm going with the (8) OVER SPENDER as I think she has a chance of being the longshot of the evening. She started her career with 2 straight second place finishes and since then has had much trouble getting around the first turn. I am hoping this start from the 8 box will give her ample room to break clean and clear the turn in first place and I'm more then willing to give her a small play at least, especially with the big odds she should go off at.

Race 4 brings us another MoneyMaker pick and this one is a Grade B contest over the 583 yard course and the choice is the (4) DARK N DEMURE. She has encountered trouble of late but the drop in class should help as I look for her to break quick and be one of the frontrunners to the turn. She did win a Round 1 race in the recently completed 2014 Southland Festival Of Stakes event and she does give 110% each time out.

Race 17 is the final MoneyMaker play of the evening and it's a Grade A 660 yard distance race in which I like the (2) REBEL RULER to come out fast in this very competitive field and use his inside running style to come away with a nice finish. He won a AA grade contest just a few weeks back and now with the drop in class, well worth playing here.

The results of our picks from Saturday evening included TC'S MIKE TROUT who finished second in a dead heat, MUNNEY who finished 4th, KR ALL AMPED UP who also ran strong and finished 2nd and RCK GO FOR JEN who ran out of the money with a 5th place showing. Thanks again for reading and good luck to all.
