SOUTHLAND Preview - Monday twilight, February 16
Welcome to another Monday twilight racing card at Southland where 18 entertaining and exciting races are on the program. I've picked out several contests that I feel deserve consideration for good wagering opportunites and I've listed them below. Good luck to all and thanks for reading.
Race 2 - This is a Grade B contest over the 583 yard course and I'm going with the (6) SE'S THE SACHO as the key. I like him and his blazing early speed and even though the six box may pose trouble for his rail running style, with a clean break and going to the front, I'm going to give him a shot at finding room on the inside and holding on to the lead down the stretch. Play the (6) with the 1/7/8.
Race 11 - Here is the MoneyMaker pick of the evening, it's a Grade C race over the 583 yard course and I like the (6) DREAMY APPROACH. She's been running Grade B and despite having much trouble in four of her last five races, she has still been able to get two thirds and a fourth place finish in those. She's not all strong of a breaker but should she get out early and avoid trouble, she can definitely be the surprise of the evening. I'll play the (6) with the 4/5/9.
Race 15 - This is a Grade AA race over the 703 yard distance course and the pick is the young but extremely impressive (3) FLYING YAHOO. In 15 career starts, he has 12 top two finishes with 6 wins and 6 second place finishes. Talk about consistency, he's certainly shown that by quickly moving up in class. In fact, half of his starts have been in Grade A or AA so you can tell by that he's a very talented greyhound already in his young career. I will play the (3) with the 2/5/6 in quinielas and tri's.
Race 17 - Another Grade A contest here in the 17th race and I'm going with the (6) L'S BEACH BRIDE as the key over the 583 yard course. She's been running hard as of late as shown by her two second place finishes and one third place effort in her last three races. She's a mid to wide runner and posted well to challenge for the win here. I'll play the (6) with the 2/4/5 in quinielas and tri's.
Good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.
