SOUTHLAND Preview - Saturday evening, March 21

March 21st, 2015

Welcome to another Saturday night at Southland with 18 exciting and entertaining races on tap for your viewing pleasure as well as your wagering opportunities. I have picked out several races that caught my attention as I went over the program and I have those listed below. Let's get spring rolling with some winners while putting cash in our pockets. Good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.

RACE 1 - 334 yard course - Grade TAA - We get things started with a short course race right off the bat and I'm going with the (8ARKANS TT GATOR to make it two straight wins over this distance. He will be looking for the rail early and with his strong early speed pace should be able to find a running lane right out of the box and be in good position to get the repeat win.

Play 8 in quinielas with the 1/2/4/5. Play in the dime super 8/all/7/all, 8/all/all/7, all/8/7/all & all/8/all/7

RACE 2 - 583 yard course - Grade A - I like the (3) OSHKOSH GOOBER as the key in this one. I believe he hits the lid and gets the early lead by the turn and while he may tend to fade some down the stretch I think he's a solid play for first or second with his strong early speed and rail running style.

Play 3 in quinielas with the 1/4/6/7.

RACE 4 - 583 yard course - Grade C - The key here to me is the (3SOVEREIGN ABBEY who I know is a young greyhound going up against strong competition here but she does have 5 top three finishes in 10 starts which includes two wins. She's a mid to wide runner who shows decent speed out of the box along with a strong closing run and just two races ago won going away by 11 lengths.

Play 3 in quinielas and tri's with the 2/4/8 and in the dime superfecta the play will be 3/248/all/all & 248/3/all/all.

RACE 10 - 583 yards - Grade AA - This is the MONEYMAKER pick of the evening and it's the (8) CROWN AND CREST. He is 11 out of 13 in top four finishes this season and has a strong rush to the turn that should put him in great position early to challenge for the win. He is worth a play as he's not on the morning line and odds should be good enough for a nice return on investment if he comes thru with a win.

Play 8 in quinielas with the 3/5/6

Good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.
