SOUTHLAND Preview - Thursday, December 22

For the past week or so I've been following races at Southland where greyhounds have consistently been on winning streaks. Thursday's twilight program has a couple of these races along with another race I'm interested in where a top grade greyhound is coming back after being off the track for a while. Check out these races below and thanks for reading. Race 1 - 334 yards - Grade TAA - CRAIGIE RENEGADE (3 box) highlights the twilight performance as he goes for his 8th straight win while HS LONE SURVIVOR (5 box) tries to make it 6 wins in his last 7 races. Also in this tough field is DIGITAL DOMAIN (2 box) who has 2 wins and 3 straight very close runner-up finishes to the above mentioned Craigie Renegade. This should be one heck of a paw to paw battle and well worth checking out.

Race 5 - 820 yards - Grade TAA - SHOW ON THE ROAD (2 box) will be trying to rebound from his 8th place finish last time out to make it 5 wins in his last 6 races . Providing strong competition will be DNT OH MAGGIE (4 box), FIESTA TRAVEL (5 box) & EKWILLIZER (6 box) who is coming off an impressive win last time out with a blazing time of 46.53.

Race 17 - 583 yards - Grade A - Here we have CHASMO'S DUTCH (4 box) a top grade runner who is making his first official start after being off the track for the past 7 weeks. This talented greyhound has an impressive line this season of 39 top four finishes in 48 races which includes 19 wins and will be looking to return to form in a big way here.
