SOUTHLAND Preview - Thursday, October 20

October 19th, 2016

This week we are going to continue taking a look at the top grade races on the program, this time it will be the two Grade AA races that we will be watching during the Thursday twilight session, October 19 at Southland. These are Grade AA races and they will include some of the best greyhound running anywhere in the country. Several of these talented runners ran well in the recently completed 2016 Southland Festival Of Stakes competition and should provide an exciting and entertaining evening at the track as they battle paw to paw to cross the finish line first. I've listed below the 2 races and the greyhounds to watch so enjoy the racing and best of luck to all of you with your wagering opportunities. Remember that BetAmerica is always available to help you with any questions about wagering so feel free to contact them at anytime.

Race 10 - 583 yards - Grade AA - These top grade fields have the tendency to be very competitive and I think we see that here in this contest as five of the greyhounds made the Finals and Consolation races of the recently completed Southland Festival Of Stakes tournament. DARK N DEMURE (3 box) ran 6th in her division Finals and LAGRO CC NANCE (4 box) ran a strong 2nd in her Finals race while PJ CARVEDINSTONE (8 box) finished 6th in his Finals. CHUMBRAGO (7 box) ran 2nd in the Consolation Finals while FLY MISS ELLIOTT (1 box) was the winner of her Consolation race. With 5 of the 8 entries being stakes veterans, this is shaping up to be one heck of a race.

Race 17 - 660 yards - Grade AA - Have to keep an eye on ALL TIME HIGH (3 box) as he's coming off a solid 3rd place effort in the above mentioned Festival Of Stakes tournament. He ran extremely well in the 5 rounds of that stakes competition and should find the going here perhaps a little easier. That being said, there are several other strong running greyhounds that will battle him tough as AJN CHRIS BOSH (1 box), INNERSEPSHUN (5 box) and CONNOR (7 box) should all challenge for a solid money finish in this one.
