SOUTHLAND Preview - Thursday, October 27

This week at Southland I'm taking a look at greyhounds who have at least a two race winning streak going, as some of you may remember I did a short study like this last year and the results turned out to be quite interesting. On Thursday , there are three such greyhounds running that fit this criteria and who are looking to keep their winning streaks going and I've listed them below. Race 7 - 583 yards - Grade A - TATELL TAIL (2 box) - A recent transfer from the Caliente track, this early speed inside runner has won two in a row at Southland but will he be able to continue his winning streak in Grade A. It's possible but the competition will sure make it tough, especially with a stakes finalist, Arkans Sl Mac (7 box), having drawn a good box for his mid-track running style.

Race 13 - 583 yards - Grade AA - CLASSY WOLVERINE (4 box) - Going for his 3rd straight win is this talented and very consistent greyhound who has 39 top four finishes in 49 starts including 16 wins this season. Another very tough field as there are two other outstanding greyhounds in this field who both recently had 4 race winning streaks: Oaks Maddy (3 box) one of the best runners in the country and coming off two huge victories in just the last 3 weeks, a Festival Of Stakes champion as well as winning the Kings and Queens contest and Bbb Whiskeyrun (8 box) who had his 4 race winning streak snapped last time out.

Race 17 - 660 yards - Grade AA - IMARK ANNE (8 box) - She's looked good in her last two races, both wins, and should make a strong challenge here. She runs solid from any box and any position on the track so I look for her to give a solid effort to make it 3 in a row.
