SOUTHLAND Preview - Wednesday, November 30

November 30th, 2016

Southland is considered by many racing fans to be the toughest and most competitive greyhound track in the country and one reason for that is the large number of very talented top grade runners that go paw to paw on a regular basis at the West Memphis track. More proof of that came a little over a week ago with the release of the 2016 United Greyhound Racing's (UGR) year ending Top Ten Poll as SOUTHLAND not only had the greyhound of the year, SE TALI SUNDANCE, they had 4 of the top six in the final rankings. OSHKOSH KID (2nd), OAKS MADDY (5th) & SHOW ON THE ROAD (6th). The rest of the Top Ten included Need My Moneynow (3rd-Orange Park), Varoom Esme (4th-Wheeling Downs), Seldom Todd (7th-Orange Park),  Oya Stan The Man (8th-Derby Lane) and two Tri State runners, Mac's Harewood (9th)and Mac's Olympia (10th). Congratulations to both Southland Greyhound Park and all of the Top Ten greyhounds for their outstanding showing during the year. Thanks for reading and good luck with all your wagering opportunities and always remember that BetAmerica is here to help with any questions or information you might need.
Southland Park Greyhound Racing

Here are two races for Wednesday's program that I will be paying special attention as I think they are the highlights of the card.

Race 10 - 583 yards - Grade AA - This talented field makes this a must see race on the program as not only is BOC'S DOUBLESHOT (6 box) going for his 4th straight win, there are at least 4 other greyhounds who are running very strong as well. Sovereign Island (1 box) is trying to make it 3 wins out of 4 and Ctw Kyle Bush (2 box) is going for 3 straight wins as well. Also in this competitive contest you have Akon (4 box) trying to make it 4 wins out of his last 5 races and Centex Justice (7 box) looking for his 3rd win in his last 5 starts.

Race 15 - 703 yards - Grade TAA - This race features KL'S FARLEY (3 box) - the very impressive young pup who in only 10 career starts has moved up from Maiden to Grade AA with 4 wins to go along with 8 top three finishes. In his last race, which was his first time in Grade A, he showed he could run with top class greyhounds by coming away with a win. His future sure seems bright so check him out.
