SOUTHLAND RECAP July and August's Five Up

September 24th, 2015

Welcome everyone to a SOUTHLAND recap of our monthly selections from July & August's Five Up & Coming Young Greyhounds. Each month I select five greyhounds who have shown determination, drive and talent in their very young careers to watch in their futures and this is a recap of those results up to this point. I try to give these recaps a couple of months after making the selections so we can see any progress the picks may have made. For the past few months the selections overall have been doing good and hopefully they will continue to do so.

July's selections

Br Repeat - record at the time - 3 starts - 2-0-1-0 Grade C - now - 20 starts - 5-2-2-2 - Grade A

Cbj Cheerleader - 5 starts - 2-1-0-0 Grade C - now - 20 starts - 3-4-2-2 - Grade D

Ctw Elvira - 5 starts - 3-1-0-1 Grade B - now - 9 starts - 4-1-0-1 - Grade A

Flying Reagan - 5 starts - 1-2-2-0 Grade D - now - 20 starts - 2-5-3-3 - Grade D

Se Tali Sundance - 4 starts - 2-1-0-0 Grade C - now - 18 starts - 7-2-1-3 - Grade AA

August's selections

Black Betty - 3 starts - 2-1-0-0 Grade C - now - 15 starts - 3-2-3-0 - Grade D

Braska Trevor - 8 starts - 2-1-2-1 Grade C - now - 21 starts - 4-2-4-3 - Grade A

Deco Cannon Fire - 5 starts - 2-2-0-0 Grade C - now - 19 starts - 7-3-0-2 Grade AA

Since these 10 greyhounds were selected in July and August, they have been in 127 races and had 65 top four finishes.

Seven of the ten greyhounds are running in a higher class now then they were when selected.

Two of the 10 greyhounds are now running in Grade AA and four more are running in Grade A. One greyhound is running in Grade C and the remaining three are in Grade D.

With 6 of the 10 greyhounds that were chosen as greyhounds to watch now running in either Grade AA or Grade A and with overall results of 107 top four finishes in 175 races, that is a very strong and solid 60% rate of success to report in both areas. These monthly selections are certainly worth watching and can prove to be well worth wagering on.

Good luck to all and thanks for reading.
