SOUTHLAND Review - Sunday, August 2
Hi and welcome to MoneyMaker Mike's Southland review of his selections over the past week. As most of you who follow this blog will know, there are times when I like to choose different handicapping themes in which to make my selections from. Over this past week or so I concentrated my selections over the top grade races, that being some of the Grade A, AA, TA & TAA contests and this is a recap of how the picks did. I've always liked top grade races at the tracks and especially at Southland where many of the top greyhounds in the country run. There were a total of 13 Grade A/AA/TA/TAA races over 4 programs that I made the above picks from along with 4 MoneyMaker Mike's longshot picks that came from different grades. Here are some of the stats from the results of those picks.
Of the 13 dogs picked to win - 7 turned out to be winners, 2 ran second, 2 ran third, 1 ran fourth and 1 ran seventh.
Of the 13 races when just keying the top dog in the quiniela - there were 6 quiniela wins.
Of the 13 races when boxing the top three selections in the quiniela - there were 4 quiniela wins.
Of the 13 races when boxing all 4 selections in the quiniela - there were 10 quiniela wins.
Of the 13 races when boxing the top 3 selections in the trifecta - there were 2 trifecta wins.
Of the 13 races when boxing the top 4 selections in the trifecta - there were 4 trifecta wins. Side note (of the 4 different days that were used in this study, each day had a 4 dog box trifecta winner.
Of the 13 races when boxing the top 4 selections in the superfecta - there were no winners.
Of the 4 MoneyMaker Mike's longshot picks - there was 1 winner out of the 4. These longshot picks are always greyhounds who are not on the morning line.
