Southland - Thursday, February 18
Welcome to another Thursday twilight program of highly entertaining and exciting greyhound racing at Southland as there are 18 races on tap on the card for your viewing and wagering pleasure. MoneyMaker Mike has selected several races that stand out as good opportunities for some longshots to have nice money finishes and and I've listed these races below for greyhound fans and racing fans in general to check out. Thanks for reading and good luck with your wagers.
Race 1 - 334 yards - Grade TC - CLICKAH - 4 box - She's encountered much trouble in her last two races but with her good early speed should be in good position right out of the box to challenge for the win. Likes the inside and does have a solid 3rd place effort over this short course just a few races back.
Race 9 - 660 yards - Grade B - FIESTA NEBRASKA - 6 box - He is a recent transfer from the Caliente track but seems to have adjusted to Southland in a very positive way. In his 5 official starts since arriving here he's already won a Grade B race and has a third and fourth place effort in Grade A contests. Dropping back in class should give him a decent shot in this one as he's shown decent early speed as well as a solid rush to the turn.
Race10 - 703 yards - Grade A - THE FIXER - 5 box - Since moving to the 703 distance course he's had 7 top four finishes in 8 races and I look for him to give a strong effort here. He seems to have a good sense of avoiding trouble during races and with a nice closing run should be challenging for a solid finish in this one.
