Tepin looks to keep on rolling in Jenny Wiley

At the Lexington, Kentucky, track's fall meet last October, the Mark Casse stomped 10 rivals by seven lengths in the First Lady (G1), and then impressively turned back many of the world's best milers, male and female, in the Breeders' Cup Mile (G1).
The winner in seven of her past nine starts, Tepin started the year with back-to-back vcitories in the Endeavour (G3) and Hillsborough (G2) at Tampa Bay Downs.
Dacita, one of only two horses to have beaten Tepin during her championship campaign, will look to spring another upset. Catching the eventual champion by a head in her U.S. debut in the Ballston Spa (G2) at Saratoga, the Chilean-bred was subsequently ninth in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1). She exits a close second in a swift renewal of The Very One (G3) at Gulfstream.
That mare will be joined by fellow Chad Brown trainee Wekeela, a Group 3 winner in France last season and fourth in the Prix de l'Opera (G1) on Arc Day when last seen. The field's other first-timer from Europe, Akatea, is a stakes winner who placed in the Prix du Moulin (G1) and Prix Daniel Wildenstein (G2) in her final two starts in France.
Stakes winner Miss Temple City, runner-up by a head in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup (G1) when last seen in October, was also entered in Friday's $300,000 Maker's 46 Mile (G1) against the boys as an alternative to facing Tepin. Trainer Graham Motion also entered Tiger Ride, who won an off-the-turf edition of the Valley View (G3) last fall and was most recently second in the Inside Information (G2).
Also entered in the Jenny Wiley are Recepta, winner of the Noble Damsel (G3) and second in the Matriarch (G1) last season; Yellow Ribbon H. (G2) heroine She's Not Here; Belmont Oaks (G1) runner-up Itsonlyactingdad, a recent Gulfstream allowance scorer; and Illuminant, a multiple allowance winner in California.
The program's other grass stakes for fillies and mares, the $100,000 Giant's Causeway at 5 1/2 furlongs, has attracted a full field with Miss Matzoball, Jewel of a Cat, Eden Prairie and Miss Ella among the likely favorites.
