What are the TwinSpires Awards?
Great Expectations Award
There is always that one horse that didn't live up to the expectations of those engaged with racing.
Winner: Dennisβ Moment with 42.8% of the votes and Tacitus coming in second with 26.4% of the votes.
Bettors' BFF Award
Everyone has a favorite horse to bet on. TwinSpires helped narrow the top contenders to 4 and let those of you playing the ponies be heard!
Winner: Breeders' Cup Distaff winner Monomoy Girl was chosen with 49.3% of the votes and Authentic arriving in second with 30.1% of the votes.
If 2020 Were A Horse Award
2020 has been a really weird year so TwinSpires looked up different horse names that could best describe 2020. Then our audience decided what horse name best defined 2020.
Winner: Absolute Chaos was the clear winner with 53.5% of the votes.
PPE on Point Award
2020 led to interesting fashion statements when it comes to masks and defense measures, so the creation of a unique award was in order! Welcome the βPPE on Point Award.β
Winner: Umberto Rispoli was the winner with 34.5% of the votes.
